About 30 years ago, I experienced  a life changing event that set him on the path of discovering Jesus Christ in more practical ways.  His walk with Jesus helped him realize there are conditions related with Salvation that many Christians are not aware of.  Alan Manson

I learned that if our Heavenly Father places a new heart and a new spirit within His children just (as He did with King Saul – 1 Sam 10:9-11  and with others), that this is when one is able to “see the Kingdom of Heaven” while in this world (John 3:3):

A NEW HEART also will I give you, and A NEW SPIRIT will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an [soft] heart of flesh.”

Ezekiel 36:26

This is what happened to me, when God gave me a “new heart”!

My First “Fiery Trial” After Accepting Jesus Christ as “Lord”

“Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:”

1 Peter 4:12

When my first wife of 20 years walked out of my life without any explanation, it came as a great shock to me. She also took our two teenage children with her. At their request, I had no contact my children over the past 30 years.

From this apparent disaster, God eventually gave me my (wonderful!) wife Lyn and her family. Her children have adopted me into their families and provided me with grandchildren that my own children have denied me.

Since accepting Christ as my Savior, I have lost “lands and houses” and the “wealth” I formerly had. Having cast these things away as “dung” in comparison to finding Christ (Phil 3:8) I have had family, friends and welath restored back to me (Mark 10:29-30) having suffered somewhat that which parallels what Job records in scripture:

And, behold, there came a great wind from the wilderness, and smote the four corners of the house, and it fell upon the young men [Job’s children], and they are dead…Then Job arose… And said…the Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.

Job 1:13-22

“So the Lord blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning…”

Job 42:12

My ‘New Life in Christ’

Throughout my new life in Christ, the Lord has led me into churches where I have searched for truly ‘born-again‘ Christians who love God’s words as I do.

STRIVE TO ENTER IN AT THE STRAIT GATE: for MANY [Christians], I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall NOT BE ABLE.” – Jesus speaking

Luke 13:24

And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and THE VIOLENT TAKE IT BY FORCE.”

Matt 11:12

Therefore, this Gospel blog has been established to share my understanding as to what it means to “walk in the Spirit” (Rom 8:1) while “working out one’s own Salvation in fear and trembling” (Phil 2:12).

I am aware that as Satan robbed Adam and Eve out of spending eternity with their Creator, I am concerned that Satan might attempt to rob me of his Final Salvation through similar tactics of temptation, lies and deception – as he is inflicting on Christians throughout the world:

“And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.

Matt 24:4

“[Referring to Satan] Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.” (1 Peter 5:9)

Knowing this, I do encourage you to spend some time reading my blog articles and asking any questions you might have, especially about the New Birth that is vital for every Christian to experience.

  1. I have been wondering and praying eagerly about salvation stage. I am confused by all kind of doctrine. I am minister of God and studying in bible school. I have been believing as you about salvation but in my bible study they had taught “one saved always saved”.
Thank you so much that you had clearly presented about salvation. God bless you.
