An Overview of the Apostle Paul’s Gospel

The RACE that God has set before every Christian

This post provides an overview of the Apostle Paul’s Gospel. It highlights a number of requirements that the Bible indicates Christians today have “NOT ALL OBEYED THE GOSPEL“:

"But they [meaning today's Christians] have NOT ALL OBEYED THE [Apostle Paul's] GOSPEL. For Esaias [Isaiah 53:1] saith, Lord, who [among God's people] hath believed our report(Romans 10:16)

The gospel that most Christians today believe is based upon this verse “…For BY GRACE ARE YE SAVED THROUGH FAITH; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 NOT OF WORKS, lest any man should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9).

But where does it say in these verses there are CONDITIONS associated with Salvation that MUST BE OBEYED?

Could it be that there are two gospels in play here – where one is by faith and grace alone; and the other required “WORKS“?

  1. The Gospel of Jesus Christ that is used to attract unsaved sinners into God’s kingdom is through FAITH and GRACE alone.
  2. The Apostle Paul’s Gospel that he termed “My Gospel” that (if understood and implemented) will bring forth the required quantity of spiritual “fruit” unto God through “GOOD WORKS“:
"I [Jesus] am the true vine, and [God] my Father is the husbandman [or gardener].  2 Every branch [or Christian grafted] in me that beareth not fruit he [God the Father] taketh away [for later burning - verse 6]: and every branch [or Christian] that BEARETH FRUIT, he purgeth [or prunes] it [back], that it may bring forth MORE FRUIT."  (John 15:1, 2, 6)
"But he that received [the spiritual] seed [of God's word] into the good ground [of his heart] is he that HEARETH THE WORD, and UNDERSTANDETH IT; which also BEARETH FRUIT, and bringeth forth, some an HUNDREDFOLD, some SIXTY, some THIRTY."  (Matthew 13:23)

The difference between the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the Apostle Paul’s Gospel is this:

  • The Gospel of Jesus Christ is to be believed and accepted BY GRACE and FAITH ALONE (Ephesians 2:8-9). This represents the lowest level of faith needed to enter into God’s kingdom. I have termed it INITIAL SALVATION.
  • On the contrary, The Apostle Paul’s Gospel MUST BE OBEYED for Salvation to be attained when one’s life on Earth comes to an end – Romans 10:16! It requires “GOOD WORKS” to be performed by Christians. I have termed it FINAL SALVATION.

If Paul’s Gospel is OBEYED, it will prepare the Christian for spending eternity with their Creator as it aims to establish the Christian “perfect”:
"...and this also we [i.e. all the apostles] wish, EVEN YOUR PERFECTION." (2 Corinthians 13:9; Matthew 5:48)

The Apostle Paul’s Gospel of Salvation

Paul's Mystery Gospel that involves 'The Race' (Hebrews 12:1)

This Bible-based analysis of the Apostle Paul’s Gospel of Salvation explains the requirements Christians MUST meet for entry into Heaven.

In this, God requires every Christian to enter into and “RUN” in the “RACE that God has established” (Hebrews 12:1-2).

This “RACE” is similar to a cross-country “endurance race” (1 Corinthians 9:26). This is where God requires every Christian to use a map (i.e. their Bible), together with a compass (the Holy Spirit). This is to enable them to reach the Finish Line (or Final Salvation):

"...and LET US RUN WITH PATIENCE THE RACE THAT IS SET BEFORE US, 2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith..." (Hebrews 12:1-2)
And ye shall be HATED OF ALL MEN for my name's sake: but HE [or her] THAT ENDURETH TO THE END [to the FINISH LINE of his or her lifetime on Earth as one of My disciples] SHALL BE SAVED.” (Matthew 10:22)
I have FOUGHT A GOOD FIGHT [with Satan’s people], I have FINISHED MY COURSE [of trials and temptations throughout my 'RACE'], I have KEPT THE FAITH [that was originally given the saints – Jude 1:3];” (2 Timothy 4:7)

The Eight Stages of Biblical Salvation

The image describes the eight stages of Initial and Final Salvation that are necessary for Salvation

This article will explain in detail the Eight Stages of Biblical Salvation necessary for Christians to avoid spending eternity in Hell.

Each of the above stages is essential for Christians to experience the “revelation of the mystery” to understand how to “run the race” that each Christian must “run” – spiritually.

Salvation says: "...and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, 2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith"

“…and let us RUN WITH PATIENCE the RACE THAT IS SET BEFORE USLooking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith…”  (Heb 12:1-2)

It is every Christian’s responsibility to RUN WITH PATIENCE their RACE to avoid spending eternity in Hell.

The Gospel of Initial and Final Salvation closely associates with the Apostle Paul’s Gospel that he termed “My Gospel“. This is the ONLY Gospel that will give Christians the promises of eternal life that God has promised.

The Gospel of Initial and Final Salvation

Initial and Final Salvation

Throughout the last two centuries of Christianity, the ‘gospel’ being preached centers upon Salvation through faith alone (Eph 2:9).

However, this Faith Alone ‘gospel’ fails to address the need for any accompanying “works” mentioned in Eph 2:10. In this, Paul said, we were “…created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them“.

The Bible says that God the Father regularly inspects each christian for spiritual “fruit” (John 15:2).

The Christians symbolised as “branches” grafted into Jesus “the Vine” (John 15:5) can only produce “fruit” from “works” (James 2:26). These “works” are produced to fulfill God the Father’s will (Matt 12:50) .

This is why God requires Christians to accept and implement Initial and Final Salvation. This is because ONLY Final Salvation accommodates both faith” + “works” and the spiritual maturity that accompanies these “works“.

Parable of the Education System

Parable of the Education System

Jesus Christ used parables to describe what the Kingdom of Heaven was like. This article represents a modern-day parable of the education system. As such systems of education are found in many countries, they are used to illustrate the Biblical truth about Salvation and how God expects His people to progress and mature from beginning (Initial Salvation) to the end (Final Salvation).

The scripture verse that underscores the message in this post is this:

It is written in the prophets, And THEY [ALL truly 'born-again' Christians] shall be ALL TAUGHT [PERSONALLY] of God [the Father]. Every [truly 'born-again'] man [or woman] therefore that hath HEARD, and hath LEARNED of [God] THE FATHER, COMETH UNTO ME [Jesus—at the Rapture].” (John 6:45)

Every Christian commences their faith-journey when he or she first accepts Christ as their personal Savior. This symbolizes in the parable a young child commencing their education years in kindergarten.

Final Salvation: Christians must ‘Run the ‘Race’

God has established the requirement for every Christian to “Run the Race” that has been established for them:

“…let us [meaning every Christian] RUN WITH PATIENCE THE RACE that is set before us, 2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith…”Heb 12:1-2

Once modern-day (unsaved) individuals hear the Gospel message—those who believe and then accept the ‘Good News’ by confessing Jesus Christ with their mouth, the Bible says that such people are ‘Saved’ from spending eternity in Hell (Rom 10:9-10).

However, such people are yet to run the race God has established for every Christian to embark upon and hopefully finish.

This ‘race’ is necessary because there is a Devil dwelling among us who does not like sinners ‘Saved’ out of his kingdom of lies, unbelief, sins, hatred, etc. into God’s kingdom of truth, mercy, peace and Godly love (i.e. “charity” — 2 John 1:3).

After Satan has lost one of his own to Jesus, his role is to have such people:

Presenting — Jesus Christ’s TEN Commandments

Christ’s Commandments written on the tables of the human heart

Jesus Christ presented His Ten Commandments in the form of warnings that Christians should take notice, that their Salvation is at risk. If they ignore these warnings, they will NOT inherit eternal life with Him.

In this, Jesus said:

If ye love me, keep my commandments.” (John 14:15)

The above verse could also be interpreted as saying:

If ye [really and sincerely] love me [as you claim you do, then], keep [or OBEY each of] my commandments.” (John 14:15)

Recently I discovered the following Ten Commandments of Jesus that are expressed in the form of ‘negative commandments’. In this, they are presented as warnings from Jesus for every Christian to take notice.  As an example, one warning in John 3:5 says they “…CANNOT ENTER INTO THE KINGDOM OF GOD”.

Judas Iscariot and his Many Disciples

Snake Oil Salesman

Most Christians cannot conceive that Judas Iscariot had many disciples, and these would continue on preaching his beliefs well after his death.

In the article ‘Are Only FEW Christians Saved“, it showed how the Bible reveals that only a “FEW” of God’s people have been ‘saved’ throughout the history of the Earth. To appreciate the facts behind this claim, it is worthy to first understand a little more about what the Bible reveals about Judas Iscariot.

Key features about Judas Iscariot

Are you one of God’s “Elect”?

God's Plumbline

This article helps Christians determine if they are one of God’s “Elect”.

The word “elect” (referring to God’s people) is written in the King James Bible 27 times. As this term closely associates with Salvation, therefore Christians should understand what it means.

‘The Elect’ is written 23 times in the New Testament, and is spoken by Jesus in the following verses:

And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but FOR THE ELECT’S SAKE those days shall be shortened.” (Matthew 24:22)

"...they [Antichrist's people] shall deceive THE VERY ELECT." (Matthew 24:24)
"...and they [God's angels] shall GATHER TOGETHER HIS ELECT..." (Matthew 24:31)

Further Proof Most Christians are Not Saved!

Salvation Analysis for 2024

The article that follows presents new data that provides further proof that most Christians are not saved! This confirms the claim I made four years ago that MOST Christians are not saved.

In March 2020, I posted an article here titled, ‘PROOF that MOST Christians are NOT SAVED‘. The article used statistics from a Google advertising campaign I ran that proved (to me anyway) that Christians today have little regard for the Salvation that Jesus Christ purchased for them at the cross. I encourage you to read that article, to appreciate the basis of why I am now writing this article.
