The Bible says that the Apostle Paul’s Gospel MUST BE OBEYED (Romans 10:16). It also says that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is a FREE GIFT (Romans 5:15, 16, 18). If this gospel is a FREE GIFT, it is therefore FREE of any CONDITIONS attached to it.

Key Takeaways
- The Bible emphasizes that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is a FREE GIFT with no conditions attached.
- Two Gospels exist: the Gospel of the Circumcision given by Jesus to the disciples. The Apostle Paul’s Gospel was given to Paul by revelation.
- Paul’s Gospel requires born-again Christians to grow spiritually and to actively participate as members of the Body of Christ.
- Christians should view the linked video presentation to fully understand what God’s requirements are for eternal salvation.
Therefore, understanding what PAUL’S GOSPEL represents is a critical matter that affects every Christian’s Salvation!
The TWO GOSPELS presented in the King James Bible are:
- The Gospel of the Circumcision. This is commonly known as the Gospel of Jesus Christ, as the practice of circumcision relates to the Jewish nation. Jesus Christ gave this gospel to His twelve disciples for them to share with the unbelieving Jews and Gentiles:
"And he [Jesus] said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel [of Jesus Christ] to every creature." (Mark 16:15)
The Bible refers to Christ’s gospel as a FREE GIFT (Romans 5:15, 16, 18) to be received in faith. However, OBEYING Paul’s Gospel is a mandatory requirements for Salvation as stated below:
"But THEY [today's Christians] HAVE NOT ALL OBVEYED THE [Apostle Paul's] GOSPEL. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?" (Romans 10:16)
Below is Jesus Christ giving ‘His gospel‘ to His twelve disciples in summary form.
"Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be betrayed unto the chief priests and unto the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death, 19 And shall deliver him to the Gentiles to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify him: and the third day he shall rise again [from the dead]." (Matthew 20:18-19)
- The Gospel of the Uncircumcision that Jesus Christ gave to the Apostle Paul came to him by personal “revelation“. It is identified as a separate gospel in the statement below and represents the Apostle Paul’s Gospel:

The Apostle Paul said that Jesus Christ gave him his ‘Gospel’ that he termed “…My Gospel“, as stated in Romans 2:16; 16:25; and 2 Timothy 2:8.
Paul also stated that Jesus Christ will use Paul’s Gospel as the standard by which to determine if Christians have OBEYED PAUL’S GOSPEL or not:
"In THE DAY when God [the Father] shall judge the secrets of [Christian] men [and women at the Great White Throne Judgment - Revelation 20:11-15] by Jesus Christ [having been appointed by God] ACCORDING TO MY GOSPEL." (Romans 2:16)
What is the significance of the Apostle Paul’s Gospel?
The features that identify what the TWO Gospels represent are highlighted below:
- The Gospel of Jesus Christ is a simple gospel to explain. It is designed for preachers to preach and for unsaved sinners to hear (Romans 10:17). Once heard, it may stay dormant until they eventually accept or reject it.
If Christ’s Gospel is accepted, the new Christian MUST then count the cost of becoming a Disciple of Jesus Christ (Luke 14:26-33). - The Apostle Paul’s Gospel requires each truly “born-again” Christian (John 3:3-8; Ezekiel 36:26) to become a Disciple of Jesus Christ. This is to enable them to become “spiritually minded” (Romans 8:1).
They are then required to “walk in the Spirit” (Romans 8:1) and to have commenced “running their spiritual race” (Hebrews 12:1-2) towards the “Finish Line” of their faith-journey (2 Timothy 4:7; Philippians 3:14).
After embarking upon these basic requirements, Christians are also required to GROW in spiritually maturity. This occurs in the same manner as described by Jesus when a “seed” falls into “GOOD GROUND” and produces the required quantity of spiritual “FRUIT” unto God the Father (Matthew 13:3-8; John 15:1-8).
As Christians spiritually mature, they are ALL required to ‘BELIEVE and SPEAK the same things:
"Now I BESEECH YOU, BRETHREN, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that YE ALL SPEAK THE SAME THING [i.e. doctrine], and that THERE BE NO DIVISIONS AMONG YOU [as there are in the churches today]; but that YE BE PERFECTLY JOINED TOGETHER IN THE SAME MIND and IN THE SAME JUDGMENT." (1 Corinthians 1:10)
Such Christians are required to become active bodily members (i.e. ‘ministries’) within the spiritual “Body of Christ“:
"For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ [in the spiritual members of His body on Earth today].
13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body [i.e. the spirit baptism - John 1:33], whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
14 For the [spiritual] body [of Jesus Christ on the Earth today] is not one [Bible-believing] member, but MANY.
15 If the foot [ministry] shall say, Because I am not the hand [ministry], I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?
16 And if the ear [ministry] shall say, Because I am not the eye [ministry], I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?
17 If the whole body were an eye [ministry], where were the hearing [ministry]? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling [or Nose Ministry]?
18 But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him.
19 And if they were all one member, where were the body?
20 But now are they many [Bible-believing] members, yet but [joined together in love as] one body [in Jesus Christ]." (1 Corinthians 12:12-20)
